Message from the Head of School

Lyceum International School Wattala was established on the 3rd of September 2001, with the intention of offering value-based education to the children of our Motherland.

Over the past 18 years, we have witnessed significant development in our school and have grown into a large family consisting of 5,600 students and a staff strength of 770, making us the largest international school on our beautiful island.

As a principal and educator, I have high expectations for our students. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in the community, I encourage them to give their best effort, maintain a positive attitude, and embrace a sense of personal responsibility. I want our students to be enthusiastic, confident, and inquisitive learners.

To ensure student success, it is crucial for me that my staff, parents, and students become partners in this journey we have embarked upon. It is essential that all of us come to school every day, happy and ready to give our best.

I express my sincere appreciation to the Management, the dynamic staff, students, and parents for their continuous support and cooperation in helping us achieve our mission statement: “to produce global citizens who will reshape the future of our motherland.” I also extend my gratitude to the parents for placing their trust in us by choosing our school over others to provide their children with a better education.

    Ms. Stella Anton
    Principal
