Welcome to Lyceum International School, Avissawella – the 9th branch of the Lyceum family, established on 2nd October 2022. From our humble beginnings with just 7 students and 3 teachers, we have grown into a vibrant learning community with over 490 students and 70 dedicated teachers in our Pre-Primary and Primary sections.
Guided by our Founder, Hon. Dr. Mohan Lal Grero, and Consultant Coordinating Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Kumari Grero, our vision is to nurture well-rounded global citizens through affordable, high-quality English medium education. We follow the Lyceum Curriculum up to Grade 8, after which students can select either the Pearson Edexcel or National Curriculum.
Beyond academics, we provide a wealth of co-curricular activities designed to develop creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills. Students have the opportunity to participate in Athletics, Art Club, Chess, Choir, Cultural Dancing, Drama Club, and Karate, junior band alongside various school events and competitions that foster confidence and character.
