Maathra 15, the milestone 15th edition of Sri Lanka’s largest school-based cultural dance legacy, concluded successfully on 27th August 2026 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.

Presented by Lyceum International Schools, the spectacular event brought together over 700 young performers, who took to the stage across two grand shows at 4:02 PM and 6:58 PM.

For fifteen years, Maathra has continued to provide an extraordinary platform for young performers to explore, celebrate and showcase the richness of Sri Lankan cultural dance through creativity, discipline and artistic excellence.

This year’s milestone edition was attended by distinguished guests, including members of the diplomatic community, renowned artistes, education leaders, parents and supporters. The performances created an unforgettable evening, celebrating the talent, dedication and passion of generations of young Lyceumers.

What began as a vision has grown into a remarkable cultural legacy. Today, Maathra stands as one of the most significant school-based cultural dance experiences in Sri Lanka, inspiring young people to take pride in artistic expression and carry a powerful legacy forward.
