The 61st Sri Jayawardenapura Little Friends of Lyceum International School Nugegoda celebrated the world thinking day based on the theme “Our World, Our Peaceful Future” on 23rd February 2023.
On this special day, our little friends focused on the role our environment plays in peace and security. For this, they engaged in a series of activities like the spider web game and cleaning the road and the school surrounding. With the aim of encouraging all people to maintain and protect the environment, they carried sign boards and conducted a route march around the school. They also composed songs on protection of the Environment and it was printed as a booklet by the Sylvannas.
Further, our Little Friends donated English story books to G / Ananda Central College, Elpitiya, books on Buddhism to the Oyamaduwa Buddhist temple in the Anuradhapura district and Sinhala story books to the Weluwanarama Maha Viharaya Rawathawatta Sri Sugatha Darmoddhaya Damma School.
