Lyceum Panadura held their Vesak celebrations on the 4th of May 2023, it was an occasion to reflect on the teachings of the Buddha and to cultivate compassion, wisdom, and inner peace.

As part of the Vesak celebrations, the school had a procession, flower offering, incense and lighting oil lamps. The celebrations ended with a Dhamma sermon, which was an opportunity to deepen the student’s understanding of the Buddha’s teachings and to apply them to their daily lives.

There also was a Vesak Lantern Display held at the school premises where the students showcased their creative talent through the intricate designs and vibrant colours of their lanterns. The students and teachers worked hard to ensure the event was a success, overall the event was wholesome and educational for the students.
