Sir Michael Wilshaw

Sir Michael Wilshaw has served as Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills and Head of Ofsted, UK (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, UK) from 2012 to 2016. Through the implementation of more stringent inspection frameworks, it is reported that, at the end of his tenure, nearly two million more children were being educated in good and outstanding schools than when he took up the position in 2012. Sir Michael transformed Britain’s worst-performing school into one of the best with several outstanding judgments from Ofsted, UK. He was knighted for his services to education in the year 2000. Sir Wilshaw is also a Professor in Education and has been the Chief Advisor to the Lyceum International Schools from 2018 to date.
