20th International UCMAS Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition – 2015 organized by Indian Head office of UCMAS: guidance from UCMAS International head office Malaysia, held at North campus, University of Delhi recently.
Six years old Siluni Tharulya Sandakini Gaganathara Walakuluarchchi, grade two student of the Lyceum International School, Nugegoda represented Sri Lanka and won the 3rd runner up award in intermediate “B” Category. ( She attempts 100 addition, subtraction and 50 multiplications, 50 division.
This is particularly, Silunii was the youngest person to participate in Intermediate “ B ” category and she compete with around 3000 children for International competition totally 11,000 children participated from different parts of the world.
The “Cambridge Outstanding Learner Awards” ceremony organised by the Cambridge International Examination Board was held in Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo recently. Cambridge International Examinations is the only global organization founded by the world’s top universities to conduct international education assessment and awards. It is affiliated to the University of Cambridge in England. About 1214 students from Lyceum International Schools took the examinations and 70 of them received the, High Achiever Awards.
Lyceum students are excelling in their studies both at national and international levels. For the past twenty two years, a large number of Lyceum students have been ranked Top in the World at Cambridge International Examinations at O- level and A – Level.
In the category Top in Sri Lanka , four Lyceumers acquired the first rank : At O- Level, Lakindu Bandara( Lyceum – Nugegoda ) ranked Top in Sri Lanka in Environmental Management and Literature in English , Sumini Siyambalapitiya (Lyceum - Nugegoda) ranked Top in Sri Lanka in Sinhala, Dhanushka Nanayakkara (Lyceum-Gampaha) ranked Top in Sri Lanka in Business Studies, Ravindu P. Herat
Lyceum International School, Panadura defeated Lyceum International School, Nugegoda by 5 wickets in their limited over annual cricket encounter for the ‘’ Nikitha Grero Challenge Trophy ‘’ at SSC Ground, Colombo, recently.
Their top scorer was Chehan Walpola , who scored 13 runs.
In reply, Lyceum International School reached home for the loss of five wickets in 11.5 overs. Chalaka Nallaperuma (24) was their top run getter.

Lyceum International School Wattala Team won the Under 17 Championship for the second consecutive year playing against Wycherly International School Colombo in the Final held at Health Grounds on the 22nd October 2015. The tournament was organized by Wycherly International School Colombo and was held from the 02nd October to the 22nd October 2015.

The International Schools Under 19 Girls Basketball Tournament organized by British School Colombo was held from the 23rd September to 03rd October 2015. Lyceum International School Wattala girls team led by Mandhari Fernando played against Lyceum Panadura, CIS Colombo and Gateway Colombo in their first round matches. Lyceum Wattala beat British School at the Semi Finals and the finals were played against Lyceum Nugegoda.
In the finals Lyceum Wattala scored 64 points and became Champions, while Lyceum Nugegoda scored 47 points and became runners up
