The International School Karate Tournament (I.S.K.C) 2018 was held on the 20th and 21st of October at the Sugathadasa Stadium. 7 out of 14 Students participated at this tournament & they won 2 gold,1 silver & 3 bronze medals
The District & Provincial Karate Tournaments were held at the Kandy, Sudahampala Indoor Stadium on 15th & 16th September 2018. 20 students participated at this and they won medals at various levels. 7 gold,2 silver & 2 bronze medals were won for the district “Kata” and 1 gold and 2 silver medals were won for district “Kumite”.1 gold, 1 silver & 6 bronze medals were clinched for the Provincial “Kata” while they won 2 gold, 2 silver & 5 Bronze medals for the provincial “Kumite”.
The Future Chess Academy - Future Best Minder 2018, Nuwara Eliya District chess tournament was held recently. 30 students participated under the guidance of the Coach Mr. Janaka Samarakoon and TIC Ms. Joyce Camer. The Students won places as follows.
A Cultural Night With Exceptional Performances
Lyceum International Schools held the 11th edition of their annual cultural dancing festival - Maathra, on 13th October 2018 which featured a magnificent show that celebrated the wonders of traditional Sri Lankan dancing with a host of unique cultural performances by the students. The Royal Institute of Colombo was the Platinum Sponsor for the event.
The distinguished chief guest at the Maathra 11 included His Excellency, President Maithripala Sirisena, as well as Founder of Lyceum International Schools, Dr. Mohan Lal Grero and Coordinating Principal of Lyceum International Schools, Dr. (Mrs.) Kumari Grero.
