Lyceum Wattala – Overall Champions for the 9th Consecutive Year
Lyceum International School, Wattala won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Overall Champions for the 9th consecutive year at the Inter International Schools' Scrabble Championships on 14th February 2016. Lyceum International School Nugegoda won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Runners – up.
Lyceum International School, Panadura, College of World Education and Leeds International School Secured the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions respectively.
This event was organized by Lyceum, Wattala for the 9th consecutive year. Mr. Kandhan Mahendran, President of the Sri Lanka Scrabble League (SLSL) was the Chief Gust and Dr. Lalantha Amarasinghe was the Adjudicator. 12 Schools, comprising of Asian Internationa School, Colombo International School, College of World Education, Gateway College, Rajagiriya & Kandy, Leeds International School, Leighton Park International School, Lyceum International School - Panadura, Nugegoda and Wattala, Royal Institute and Stafford International School participated in this tournament. A total of 43 teams comprising of 5 players each participated in 3 age cat

Inter International Schools’ Athletic Championship (ISAC) is the most important co-curricular event in the school calendar of all international schools.
The International Schools’ Athletic Championships (ISAC), which commenced in 2001, has now established itself as the flagship sporting event of the country’s international schools.
ISAC 2016 will be hosted by Lyceum International School, the seventh time the school will be doing so since first being granted the honour in 2004.
The ISAC 2016 is scheduled to be held on 04th , 05th and 06th March at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium, Diyagama, from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. each day. Lyceum took over the reins of hosting ISAC from Gateway College in 2004 and the two schools took turns to host the event every three years. At the closing ceremony of ISAC 2015 once again Lyceum took over to serve as the Official Organiser of ISAC 2016.

Josephs College Indoor Stadium.

The tournament organized by Colombo International School was held from September 2015 to
January 2016. Lyceum Wattala won the Championship defeating Lyceum Nugegoda in the Finals. Final
scores 44 - 37. The matches were held at Colombo International School Colombo on the 30th January 2016.

Lyceum International School Anuradhapura, affiliated to the Lyceum Group of Schools, recently opened its new swimming pool at No. 128, Isurupura, New Kandy Road, Anuradhapura. The event was graced by the presence of the Secretary-General of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), the Hon. Minister of Irrigation and Agriculture- Duminda Dissanayake.
Lyceum International School Anuradhapura created a milestone in the history of international schools in the Anuradhapura District, as this is the first swimming pool built by an international school in the area.
Addressing the gathering at the opening ceremony, Hon. Minister Dissanayake stated that he believed that Lyceum International School, as a leading international school in the country which had produced upstanding citizens for the country, would be a pillar of strength in improving the educational status of the Anuradhapura District. He went on to thank Founder Mohan Lal Grero for establishing a branch school in Anuradhapura, as the Lyceum Group of Schools had produced a host of valuable Sri Lankans over a period of 23 years.
