Defending champions Lyceum International School - Wattala retained the R.I.T. Alles memorial trophy for the 8th year beating Lyceum International School - Nugegoda at the Inter International Schools Cricket Tournament which concluded recently at Shalika ground, Colombo.The tournament which began on the 5th July witnessed an undefeated team up to the finals.
Lyceum International School - Wattala winning the toss made 265 runs in 40 overs. Hasitha Gunasiri 53, Kavindu Rajakaruna 45.
In reply Lyceum International School - Nugegoda were bowled out for 191 runs in 34.3 overs. Pasindu Rajapaksha 56 Akalanka Senevirathne 35.

The Inter School Scrabble Tournament was recently held on 24th June at Ladies College Colombo. Several schools, both national and international, took part in this event and two teams represented Lyceum International School Nugegoda in the Under 15 and Under 19 categories. A total of 29 schools competed in the Under 15 category and 26 schools in the Under 19 category.
The Under 15 and Under 19 teams from Lyceum International School Nugegoda were both placed 1st runner up in their respective categories. It was an impressive performance by the two teams as they had bettered their placings compared to last year in the same contest.
Three teams from Lyceum International School Nugegoda recently took part in the prestigious 12th Faculty of Law Sri Lanka Schools' Debating Championship. The A team was placed runner up, while the B team managed to make it to the top 4 and C team to the top 8.
This annual competition organised by the Faculty of Law, Colombo University draws participants from several state, private and international schools of the country. It is a forum where the brightest young minds meet to debate and deliberate. This year a total of 58 teams took part and three Lyceumers: Ovindu Randunu, Ravindu Wijesinghe and Atheek Azmi, were selected to the National Schools' Debating Team.
Sri Lanka Schools Under 15 Doubles Badminton Team Championship 2017, organised by Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association was held from 22nd to 25th June 2017 at Richmond College, Galle.
Almost 100 teams from both national and international schools island wide took part in this prestigious event. Of the Girls’ teams that participated, 12 schools made it to the Super A Division category, namely Museaus College, Visaka Vidyala Colombo, Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda, Mahamaya College Kandy, Sujatha Vidyalaya Matara, Dharmashoka College Ambalangoda, Girls High College Kandy, Sangamitta College Galle, Vidura College Nawala, Lyceum International School Nugegoda, Holy Cross College Gampaha, and O.L.V. Convent - Moratuwa.
The girls’ team of Lyceum International School Nugegoda was placed 2nd runner up in the Super “A” Division - Girls Category and the team was also ranked 3rd island wide. This is the first time a team from Lyceum International School has played in the Super “A” Division category..

Lyceum International School - Wattala Girls created history by winning the overall girls shield at the western province Athletic meet which was held recently at Diyagama Mahinda Rajapakshe Sports Complex. This is a significant achievement for an international school as it was the 01st time that the overall title was won by an International School. Lyceum International School- Wattala was well ahead of Ave Maria Convent - Negombo and Holy Cross Convent - Gamapaha. The points won by each School is as follows,
Lyceum International School - Wattala was also awarded the Girls Under 18 and Under 20 overall Championship as well as the Relay Overall Championship. Sachini Divyanjalee won the under 18 Best Athlete title for her 200m run . The boys of Lyceum Wattala won overall 3rd place in the meet.
