Lyceum Wattala Under 15 Boys and Under 19 Girls Teams excel at the Inter International Schools Badminton Tournament

The above tournament was held from the 3rd to the 5th of March 2017 at the Mercantile Badminton Court.

Under 15 Boys’ team and Under 19 Girls’ team became the Champions.


Science & Technology Fair

The Science & Technology Fair was held on 3rd and 4th of March 2017. Over 1000 students participated in the exhibition. The exhibition were judged by a professional panel of judges. From the National Science Foundation, Industrial Technology Institute, Zonal Educational Office, National Institute of Education, Young Inventors’ Commission and Institute of Engineers. 

LIS Wattala Champs for the 6th consecutive year

The Inter International Schools Karate Championship organised by Leeds International School Panadura for the seventh consecutive year was held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium on the 01st and 02nd November 2016. Fourteen International Schools participated at the tournament and Lyceum International Wattala won the Championship for the 06th consecutive year with  1359 points and several Individual Championships. 

Sri Lanka Schools Senior National Basketball Squad

Lubna Morseth (10 Sci D) and Pawani Ranepura (12 Com A) were selected to the Sri Lanka Schools Senior National Basketball Squad.

Lyceum Wattala Scrabblers Overall Champions for the 10th Consecutive Year

Lyceum Wattala won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Overall Champions for the 10th consecutive year at the Inter International Schools' Scrabble Championships on 11th February 2017. Lyceum International School Nugegoda won the Lyceum Challenge Trophy for the Runners-up.

Lyceum International School, Panadura, Leeds International School and Royal Institute International School secured the 3rd, 4th and 5th positions respectively.

This event was organized by Lyceum, Wattala for the 10th consecutive year. Mr.Kandhan Mahendran, President of the Sri Lanka Scrabble League (SLSL) was the Chief Guest and Dr. Lalantha Amarasinghe was the Chief Adjudicator. 10 Schools, comprising of College of World Education, Gateway College – Kandy, Ilma International Girls' School, Leeds International School, Lyceum International School Panadura, Nugegoda and attala, OKI International School – Wattala, Royal Institute, Stafford International School and the British School of Colombo participated in this tournament. A total of 36 teams comprising of 5 players each participated in 3 age categories namely Junior, Intermediate and Senior
