Admission to any lyceum school is difficult and very competitive and those who wish to join a Lyceum school must inquire from the school about vacancies well ahead of the closing date for applications. This information can be obtained by telephone or email.

If vacancies exit for the required grade the parents and the child should come to the school to meet the registrar by appointment. Appointments will be granted between 8.30am and 1.30 pm. An interview and/ or an admission test will be conducted. If all criteria are fulfilled an application form will be issued by the school. Further details regarding the procedure for admission:

Parental Undertaking
If the child is selected for admission the parents would enter into a contract with the school undertaking to abide by all the rules and regulations of the school. The parents have to place their signature on a document undertaking to do this.

Placement
The placement of the child as a student of a Lyceum school shall be decided by the administration of the school alone. It is based on a number of factors including the age, previous school records, and the child’s ability to follow the work done in a particular grade where the placement is sort for.
Monitoring the newly admitted students

It is the practice of the school to closely observe and monitor the progress made by each new student for at least three weeks to determine whether he/she has been placed appropriately. The school assumes the right to re-assign a student to another grade if the administration finds that the initial placement has been inappropriate.
